The Great Peacekeeper

We haven't had a large scale war on the earth since WWII because of nuclear weapons. Up until WWII the leaders of countries could go to war without putting themselves in harm's way. It was dreadful to go to war, but not out of the question. With nuclear weapons, it is totally out of the question because the leaders making the decisions know that if they start a war with a nuclear power, they individually will die, not some nameless soldiers.

Kennedy and Khrushchev did not fire a shot during the Cuban Missile Crisis because they knew it would mean general nuclear war. This was totally unacceptable for both sides. It may be a bit cynical to attribute the motive for not waging war to the desire for self-preservation of the leaders. I think it is nevertheless true. If Khrushchev could have lost a few soldiers, but gained some ground, he probably would have done it. Likewise with Kennedy. He proved that he was willing to lose some soldiers to gain a small objective when he ordered the Bay of Pigs operation. Only when the leaders had a gun pointed to eachother's heads was it absolutely unthinkable to pull the trigger. 

Diplomatic talks, gestures, initiatives, handouts, and stern talk did not stop wars. Only force. Only the threat of force stopped wars. I think that is a lesson we need to learn while we have politicians in office who don't understand that there are bullies and tyrants in this world other than Al Qaeda.

Tax Fix

How does this sound? Everyone that makes less than $100,000 doesn't pay any income tax. Everyone that makes over that pays 30 percent. I know it's graduated so the conservatives might not like it, but it also would alleviate the tax burdens (and hassle) from about 90 percent of the population. Liberals should like it because it supports the demand theory of the economy. It would likely raise more revenue than we do now because it would allow consumers to spend and drive the economy. All the tax attorneys would go out of business and that money would be spent to move the economy along. I think it would work, it definitely would take the headache out of tax time and it would help the economy.

Outlawing Consequences

Obama's administration said today that the US automakers will not be allowed to fail. They also said that Americans that bought American cars will have their warranties backed by the government. Is this a sort of FDIC for cars? Where will the bailouts end? When will people actually have to suffer consequences for bad decisions? If you bought an American car, and it breaks, why should others have to pay for it. You should have been smart and bought a Japanese car. If Toyota goes out of business Obama isn't going to bailout my warranty. But I don't care, I know my Toyota won't break down. I made a responsible decision. If GM made bad decisions and was forced to cow to the unions, acquire ridiculous legacy costs, and pay people to sit in an office building all day because of government interference, then maybe that company deserves to die. Keeping it on life support won't help the economy. We are trading long term prosperity and security to avoid short term, warranted and deserved financial pain. The government is nationalizing businesses faster than Hugo Chavez. When Obama is done, the government will control large chunks of the economy. It will control huge inefficient, uncompetitive businesses that we will constantly have to bail out. We are allowing Obama to institute a command economy that will slowly erode our standard of living. His truly is a historic presidency, the presidency where the American capitalist system was finally consumed by the marxist juggernaut.

Obama's Workers Paradise

Do free people fear the armed forces of the United States NO. Do free people fear the people of the United States NO. Do tyrants and terrorists fear the United States? YES, thank God. Why can't American liberals see that America is basically a good country. That it is the last bastion of freedom in the world. It is the only power great enough to withstand all the criticism of those that it protects. It is ridiculed, laughed at, maligned, demonized, and yet, like a dutiful parent it still protects those too inept to protect themselves. America can only take so much of a beating before she will start to buckle. Those who constantly point out how their own country has done wrong and will not recognize America for what it is, need to tone it down. This is not the time for America to right all the wrongs it has done, America is on the ropes. The Indians are fine, the blacks will be fine, the Mexicans are fine. Those of you who can't stop finding fault with America are going to destroy her. You are breeding hatred for this country by misrepresenting its founding and misrepresenting the effect it has had and continues to have on the world.

Obama doesn't love this country as much as he should. The president of this country should be a patriot who loves his country. If he loved it he wouldn't closely associate with those that hate it and wish to see its power diminished in the world. He wants to see our power shrink in the world because he thinks we are an imperialist nation. He thinks we only want to exploit our allies overseas, as if we were in the 18^th century and we are out grabbing colonies to rape. He needs to put down his marxist, anti-capitalist views and move into the present. He is the most powerful person the world has ever known in this supposedly racist, bigoted nation. People are scared to criticize him because they are afraid to be called racist, in this supposedly racist country. We need to stop the class warfare, stop redistributing so much wealth, stop destroying our nation's credit, don't gut our military, don't force us all to join unions, don't infringe on our right to bear arms, don't claim credit for bringing the troops home in victory when the credit belongs to Bush, don't raise taxes during a depression WHAT ARE YOU THINKING! This isn't the 19^th century where everyone is getting paid 10 cents a day and the fat cat capitalist factory owners are living large. Your antiquated, discredited, tried and failed communist ideology won't work here, no matter how much you hope it will. Americans must stand up and realize that the communists are in power now, they are going to use the proletariat to topple the bourgeoisie. We must fight them. They are trying to swell the ranks of the proletariat by taxing the rich and redistributing their wealth so that the masses vote them in again. If we let this happen, America, and with it the free world, are lost.

City on a Hill

America is the defender of human liberty on this planet. It is the fulfilled dream of generations of dead serfs, slaves, and subjugated millions. It is the only power on earth capable of creating lasting peace. It is feared by tyrants, and aristocratic elitists. It is what all nations should and could be. Finally, for a small moment in history America has shown mankind that popular rule can succeed. We have spread it to Europe, Japan. American-style democracy has yet to penetrate China and most of the Asian continent, but it will.

America did not attain its current greatness by taking advantage of other nations. It got to its current greatness by waging a war on itself to stop slavery in its own borders and making Europe and Japan safe for democracy to flourish. We have fully realized the ideals put forth in our founding document that all men are created equal. In America, every person is treated equally. There is no meaningful bigotry, racism, or prejudice left in the population.

Those that claim America is an imperialist power are wrong. We are making the world safe for ourselves and our allies. Only the terrorists and tyrants fear us. Every leader on earth knows that America has the ability to destroy every building and person in their country within five minutes, and yet they are not afraid to criticise and attack us.

Americans need to love their country. We need to realize what we have. We need to stick up for America every single time it is unfairly attacked. No more should we remain silent and allow others to unfairly malign and slander our country, its purposes and heritage. We should fight tooth and nail so that the rising generation is not turned into America hating, communist ideologues, who only know communist propoganda about Vietnam, Reagan, and the Cold War. We need to fight for the Constitution and the founding principles of this nation. Principles of freedom, individual rights, and limited, (but powerful) government.

The time has come for the silent majority to learn how to fight for America. If we don't know what to stand for, then we need to learn. If we don't have time, we need to find it. The socialists are certainly finding the time. Our republic, our rights, and the future of constutional democracy throughout the world is at stake. If America falls, the free nations of the earth will fall. This is the duty of our time, to preserve America, free, powerful, prosperous, and intact for future generations. Our arsenal for this war is not comprised of bullets or bombs, but of words and ideas. Let us emulate and honor our ancestors who bought our freedom with their blood. We will buy future's freedom with our time and effort.

Tyranny of Political Correctness

Is anyone else distusgted and frightened by this ridiculous episode about the political cartoon? I just want to scream at the idiots that are protesting and demanding that the cartoonist be fired. Shut up! We have a black president, America isn't racist! Stop getting your feelings hurt and making a big deal out of every little thing. You know how many times white people are insulted and we just take it and don't demand that people get fired? Stop making race the biggest issue in your lives. You aren't persecuted, we aren't racist, stop causing so many problems about all these stupid little events, we aren't in junior high.

I grew up thinking that everyone is created equal and that I should see everyone equally. I do, but it doesn't seem that black people do. They think they are entitled to never be offended. I am so tired of the white community trying to prove that it isn't racist by paternalistically tolerating the hypersensitivity of the black community. We need to stop treating them like children and stop tolerating these ridiculous tantrums. I am no longer scared to call a spade a spade, and neither should the rest of the white community, or any community for that matter. The tyranny of the minority needs to end.
